Texans Narrowly Defeat Jags 13-10 in OT
Texans 2-0 under new coach
The Houston Texans defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars in what was a much more entertaining game than anyone could have imagined. These two teams didn’t play like their records would suggest. Instead, the two teams squared off like a playoff berth was on the line, with neither team giving up an inch. The Jaguars put the first points on the board after scoring a 53 yard TD run on an option play to the halfback. The Texans would rally to tie the game with a TD pass from Freeman to Johnson in the second quarter. The Texans would later add a FG to make the game 10-7 at the half. The Jaguars scored a FG to tie the game at 10-10 and a big 3rd down stop would halt the Jaguars attempt at taking the lead late in the 4th. In OT the Jaguars received the ball first. On their very first play in OT the Jaguars fumble the football which would set up the game winning field goal from the Texans. Houston now has a 2-0 record under the leadership of head coach Ty Moses. A team that was once vying for the top selection in the upcoming draft is now clawing their way into a somewhat meaningless competition with the Titans for 2nd place in the division.
